Ortal Kindell – Day Camp Director

Meet our experienced and dedicated Day Camp Director, Ortal! With an RN degree and EMT license under her belt, she has the medical know-how to ensure the safety and well-being of every child under her care.

As the oldest of eight children, Ortal has always had a natural talent for caretaking and nurturing, making her an excellent fit for the role of Day Camp Director. Additionally, she is a DONA-certified doula, meaning she is well-versed in the art of supporting families during the birth and postpartum periods. These roles have helped Ortal develop excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to remain calm and supportive in high-pressure situations.

Ortal has an impressive track record when it comes to working with children. She has previous experience as a camp counselor, & Bnos leader, and her skills as an expert babysitter have been honed through years of experience. Most recently, Ortal has served as the Director of the older division of Day Camp on multiple Gateways retreats, where she created a fun and safe environment for campers while also providing leadership and guidance to her fellow counselors.

With her combination of medical expertise and experience working with children, Ortal is the ideal candidate to lead our Day Camp. She is passionate about creating a positive experience for every camper and is committed to ensuring that our program is both fun and safe for all involved. We are thrilled to have her as a part of our team and are confident that she will excel in this role.
